December 2015 Newsletter

Good evening friends,

Thank you for faithfully supporting the work of Lets Go Ministry in 2015! You have helped send me to work alongside precious brothers and sisters in Zambia, Africa; to minister to hundreds of individuals in recovery programs in Minnesota; and to New York City where I partnered with other ministries and the local church in a full week of 24/7 outreach and intercession. Additionally, I was able to provide two 4-week outreach training's to the local church body in the Daytona Beach area.

Our burden and focus for 2016 is to develop our Messenger Training curriculum into an approachable and effective tool that we can bring to churches for 1-day workshops and 2 or 3-day evangelism training conferences. We believe the Lord will open the doors to bring this training all over the U.S. and even abroad.

If you know anything about LGM over the years, you know how much I like to GO. Historically, I have focused on shorter term local, U.S. and international missions; my passion for this has not changed and we will continue to go, but my heart burns to equip and train the Body of Christ to impact their cities and the nations with the Gospel.

We need your ongoing financial and prayer support to make this vision a reality. Our heart is to make Messenger Training as accessible and affordable as possible to churches and individuals so that anyone can be equipped as a Messenger.

Our goals are to bring in $15,000 by year's end so we can start 2016 strong and to add $25,000 over the course of next year through new monthly support. Special gifts are greatly appreciated, but we also need a core group of people to stand with us on a regular basis. Please pray about joining this core group by supporting LGM monthly; we will meet our goal if:  20 people commit to giving $25/month, 15 commit to $50/month and 10 commit to $100/month. DONATE HERE NOW

Words cannot express how grateful my family and I are for all of the ways you have contributed to Lets Go Ministry over the years.

God Bless You & Your Family,

Family Update
The Lord has certainly done more than we could ask or imagine with our family. Erica and I have been blessed with Annabelle (4) and Lydia (2), and as most of you know, I was also reunited with my 14-year old daughter, Rosella, last summer and she came to live with us full-time. Very unexpectedly, we received a request earlier this year to adopt three of Rosella's siblings: Ames (7), Hailey (9) and Austin (15). Please pray that everything would go smoothly with court proceedings, that these children would have a smooth transition into our home and that the Lord would provide everything needed to care for this suddenly very large family!

Break Out Book
Jed's biography, Break Out - A Criminal's Journey to Eternal Freedom, is a great outreach tool, particularly to those who are struggling with drug or alcohol abuse. This quick and easy read is available for $8.00 at (bulk discount available). Get your copy today!

Staff Update
This past August we were able to bring Abby Shirley on as a part-time assistant to Jed. Though the hours are limited, the regular administrative help allows Jed to focus more on preparation and ministry. Abby and Jed were classmates at the Teen Challenge Leadership Institute in Minnesota back in 2005 and Abby has served on the Lets Go Ministry board for the past three years.

Messy Thanksgiving 2015

It was getting late Wednesday night. Thanksgiving quickly approaching and I knew i needed to get some rest. Not only because my wife was saying so, but because i knew my kids would be waking up at 5am for their early chocolate milk and cartoons.

So i called for my oldest daughter Rosella to come over and help me do makeup on my face to look like I had dirt all over me. She did an amazing job! The next step was to shoot a short video called "Messy Thanksgiving". With all the cooking, eating, playing with the kids our homes get blasted with excitement and joy. On the inside of the people sitting around the home, everyone is going through something and most of us have a mess to be cleaned up on the inside of us.

Life just get's messy. Many situations out of our control! What i need, and what many of us need is a refreshing from the presence of the Holy Spirit. We need a deep cleaning. What typically happens is we get so caught up in the mess that we cannot see straight. So we sit blinded and bound up in chains. Holy Spirit waits for us to open our hearts to God, so He can breathe life giving power into our circumstance.

Today no matter where you find yourself, or what's happening in your life, Jesus loves you. You can call on Jesus anytime, and he will break through in power and save you. God bless you today. Please continue to follow us on our blog feed, and share your blog with us. Thank you

Please stay updated, every two weeks we post an updated blog with an encouraging video, bound to make you laugh, cry or both. LOL

Taking back what the enemy stole.

He Loved me.

This morning a woke up and was unable to return to sleep. It seems I had enough rest. I have been winding down on the final days writing my first book. Break Out - A criminals Journey to Eternal Freedom.

Psalm 68:5-6 [NLT] Father to the fatherless, defender of widows — this is God, whose dwelling is holy. God places the lonely in families; he sets the prisoners free and gives them joy. But he makes the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land.

When the Holy Spirit touched me, and I came alive. That sounds like it could be a song.
Maybe it is. I am unsure. I do know that it is my song. I will always testify, of Gods great love, through His Son Jesus. the power is still flowing through the blood of Jesus. Straight from the throne room of heaven.

I know this book is not just for me, it is for many others. I wrote this book for the hurting and the broken. For those sitting in jail and for those sitting in their mansions. People are broken all over. I see a vision of people, scattered all over the map and they are keeled over weeping in desperate need of a touch from Jesus. I see them reading this book quickly and the Holy Spirit breathing life into their bodies.

In a single heartbeat, the Holy Spirit comes and changes everything. For me, He delivered me from death's door. I was a drug addict, a thief and a liar, and Jesus touched me and totally changed me. I know that the reality of  this seems so broad, but it is aiming right at your heart today. Only Jesus Christ can save a life from hell and destruction. This message of the Kingdom is not just for the poor, its for the rich too.

I know Jesus laid His life down for me. The image you see on the left I found online recently. I remember I was a broken and hurting young man, in need of healing. Desperate for a touch from heaven. I carried the pain. My bones ached. But God intervened like a Father with great power. A Father I needed to cover me and help me. I was alone and dying.

He placed me into a new family, and set me feet on a firm foundation!

Ephesians 1:3-8 [NLT] All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son. He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins. He has showered his kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding.

In love with Jesus,

Try again.

Luke 5:5 [NLT]  “Master,” Simon replied, “we worked hard all last night and didn’t catch a thing. But if you say so, I’ll let the nets down again.”

My heart was shattered and I said to myself, "I am done with this city"! What am I doing here!? I concluded in July of 2013 I was done with missions in NYC. Even though for years I saw God pour out His love all over the city through simple lifestyle evangelism, I wanted to see the glory of the Lord even more. More fruit!

I recall that hot summer day in July of 2013 I hopped in my car to drive back to Florida with confidence I would never return. I had worked through one of the worst mission trip's ever in  my opinion. I had thoughts of giving up on the ministry and I was done with NYC.

Just before I left, Pastor James Perez who I met briefly during that mission hugged me and extended his hand of help if I was to ever return.  What he didn't know, I was done with NY. I said to myself, "I am dusting my feet off of this city and i'm sure God has plenty of people here that He can use, He doesn't need me to be here.

As I was driving home, I felt the presence of God. I knew He was up to something big in my life and my family. Not more than 18 months later I was gripped again with a word God gave me in 2006: 'I will always send messengers to NYC, there is no such thing as too many Kingdom Ambassadors; This city needs My love and that is why you are here." I thought to myself this could relate to any city.

Then I received this passage:

Luke 5:5 [NLT]  “Master,” Simon replied, “we worked hard all last night and didn’t catch a thing. But if you say so, I’ll let the nets down again.”

I want to encourage you today. Never give up on what the Lord has spoken to you, even if you fail. I have failed  many times, but I choose to dust it all off and allow the Holy Spirit to fill me up, lead me, comfort me and empower me to move forward with Him.

I gave up, but He never did. In fact God said "let the nets down again!" You have worked too hard to give up now! I cannot disobey His call to action and either can you without feeling deep regret. There is nothing more rewarding than obeying the Lords call but just as true, you never feel as empty as to not take a risk and see if God really did call you into that special opportunity or mission.

I am believing God for the greatest catch ever, and I hope that you pray over this short message and that it blesses your life forever ... praise God!

In Love with Jesus,
